MOSCOW, Nov 19 (PRIME) -- Russian company ServisTerminalGrupp together with state unitary enterprise Kanal Imeni Moskvy (Moscow Canal) will build a 2.5 billion ruble multimodal bitumen port terminal on the Volga River close to the town of Kimry until 2024, a Moscow Canal spokesperson told PRIME late on Monday.

The terminal will become the largest river port in Russia for transshipment, storing, and production of oil products. The industrial and logistics facility will have an area of 18 hectares and a 250-meter dockside that will be able to handle small tankers.

The facility’s capacity will amount to 1,000 ships and more than 2 million tonnes of cargoes. It will store and process up to 100,000–500,000 tonnes of oil products simultaneously, the spokesperson said.
